"The Day After": 30th anniversary

Thursday, November 14, 2013

Thirty years ago, millions of Americans watched the U.S. suffer the effects of a fictitious nuclear war. Next week marks the 30th anniversary of the broadcast of "The Day After," largely set and filmed in Lawrence, including the KU campus. The next "KPR Presents," set for 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, will include talks with director Nicholas Meyer and area residents who were extras in the film.  See the trailer at the Kansas Public Radio website.
