Alumnus going local at Tallgrass Film Festival

Thursday, October 15, 2015

Joshua NathanJosh Nathan, a graduate of Moundrige High School, is a little excited this week. His short film, “Another Easygoing Brother in the Meadow Wind,” will be screened twice this week at the Tallgrass Film Festival in Wichita.

“It is pretty exciting for me, and I know it is as well for a lot of the people involved it,” Nathan said. “The production was a few people from Los Angeles, but we shot in Kansas and we shot it with a majority of a Kansas Crew. It is a Kansas Film.”

The short movie, eight minutes in length, tells the story of a disillusioned sniper during World War II who contemplates his lot in life, while manning his post in a field in France. Nathan directed the film and co-authored the script with Iain Trimble. It will be screened twice at the Festival, once during a program at 11:45 a.m. Oct. 15 at the Wichita Scottish Rite Center and again during a program at 3:15 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Garvey Theatre.  Read more
